The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that his Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on long-term national transformation rather than short-term electoral considerations.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the party said President Tinubu’s mandate goes beyond the 2027 general elections, describing it as a historic effort aimed at restructuring, repositioning and rebuilding Nigeria’s economic and institutional foundations.

The party noted that the administration has taken bold and far-reaching decisions across critical sectors, including the economy, infrastructure, security, foreign relations and governance reforms—steps it said previous administrations had avoided. While acknowledging current economic challenges, the APC described them as temporary sacrifices necessary for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.

The statement also referenced recent economic projections by financial analyst Bismarck Rewane, which it said validate the direction of the Tinubu administration. According to the Lagos APC, Rewane’s analysis highlights improving macroeconomic indicators, including declining inflation, strengthened fiscal discipline, increased investor confidence and prospects for sustained economic growth.

The party pointed to the reported moderation in inflation to 14.45 per cent in November as evidence of the early impact of fiscal and monetary reforms, improved policy coordination and gradual macroeconomic stabilisation. It added that projections of improved GDP growth, foreign exchange stability and rising capital inflows further underscore the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.

The Lagos APC contrasted what it described as the opposition’s preoccupation with the 2027 elections with President Tinubu’s focus on long-term nation-building. It said investments in agriculture, manufacturing, digital transformation, transportation, security architecture and social inclusion reflect a deliberate strategy aimed at securing Nigeria’s future beyond political cycles.

According to the statement, sustainable development cannot be achieved through rhetoric or political grandstanding, but through consistent policies, strategic planning and courageous leadership. The party maintained that Nigerians are increasingly able to distinguish between governance and political distractions.

Reaffirming its support for the President, the Lagos APC called on Nigerians to remain patient and steadfast, noting that nation-building is a gradual process whose benefits emerge over time. It stressed that recent policy outcomes and independent economic assessments indicate that Nigeria is on a path toward resilience, competitiveness and inclusive growth.

The party concluded that President Tinubu’s governance philosophy has ushered in a new era defined by accountability, innovation and strategic thinking, insisting that the Renewed Hope Agenda will continue to shape Nigeria’s national trajectory beyond 2027.

The statement was signed by Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, Lagos APC Spokesman, and daterd December 16, 2025.
