In a statement signed by Seyi Osiyemi, the family expressed profound sadness at the loss of their father, husband, grandfather, and statesman, noting that while his departure leaves a deep void, his life of service and impact remains a source of comfort and pride.

Prince Osiyemi was a distinguished journalist and respected community leader whose career was defined by unwavering dedication to public service. He served Lagos State in several key capacities, including Chief Press Secretary to the first civilian Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, Chairman of Mushin Local Government, and, most recently, Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Matters to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

His contributions to the growth and development of Lagos, particularly in governance and community engagement, earned him wide admiration and a lasting legacy.

The family noted that details of the memorial service and funeral arrangements will be released in due course.

Prince Osiyemi is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, including Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation.
