The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has joined the global community in commemorating International Men’s Day, describing the occasion as an opportunity to honour the vital roles men play in strengthening families, communities, and society.

In his message, Hon. Adebanjo noted that men across the world serve in diverse capacities—as fathers, brothers, mentors, partners and leaders—each role carrying significant responsibility and purpose. He emphasised that while society often celebrates men for their achievements, it must also acknowledge the pressures and silent struggles many of them face.

According to the Chairman, men frequently contend with societal expectations to remain strong and composed, even while dealing with emotional or mental health challenges that are rarely expressed openly.

He commended men who continue to demonstrate courage, kindness, leadership and commitment in their daily lives, describing them as pillars of support in their various spheres of influence.

Hon. Adebanjo extended warm wishes to all men on the occasion, reaffirming the council’s appreciation for their contributions.

Happy International Men’s Day.
