The Progressive Former Ward Chairmen of Lagos State, led by Alhaji Dauda Olasheu, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Alhaja Funmilayo Layeni, to congratulate her on her success in the last local government elections and to identify with her as one of their own.

During the visit, Alhaji Olasheu offered prayers for Alhaja Layeni, wishing her wisdom, good health, and continued peace and progress in Ojodu LCDA.
He reaffirmed the group’s unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration, pledging their commitment to work tirelessly toward ensuring the President’s victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Alhaji Olasheu noted the group’s dissatisfaction with the 2023 presidential election results in Lagos State, explaining that the association has resolved to bring its collective grassroots experience as former ward chairmen to strengthen political mobilization and ensure greater success for the President in 2027.
He also expressed the group’s willingness to meet with the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, whom he described as a steadfast and consistent supporter of President Tinubu’s vision and achievements.

In her response, Alhaja Layeni, who is also a former Ward Chairman, expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit and commended their renewed commitment to the progressive cause. She shared her personal experiences as a ward leader and pledged to support the group whenever her assistance is needed.

Present at the meeting were the Coordinator of the group in Ikeja Federal Constituency, Comrade Tayo Aderinola, Mr Banjo and other state executives.
