Six emerge top winners as Governor’s Milestone Quiz kicks off

The first round of winners emerged from Week One of the Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition, with six individuals securing the top positions in the first-place category.

The first round of winners emerged from Week One of the Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition, with six individuals securing the top positions in the first-place category.

The competition was launched about a fortnight ago, scheduled to run online www.lagosquiz.com for four weeks starting from November 1, 2025, is aimed at promoting awareness, inspiring young people, and encouraging academic excellence.

The top winners are: Godwin W., Benedicta O., Damilare O., Bolaji W., Igwe I., and Benjamin O., with each person to receive a Tablet, branded jacket, and a tote bag packed with exciting gifts, including Bluetooth suction speakers, mug, flash drive, T-shirt, Lagos Historical Puzzle Book, notepad and pen, gift cards, as well as a guided visit to the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) Gallery and the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History.

In the second-place category, the winners include: Opelouwa O., Kamaldeen S., Abosede A., Adekunle C., Omotoso I., Victoria W., Claire O., Komolafe P., Opeyemi F., and Motunrayo V., to receive Smartwatches, headsets, and tote bags containing Bluetooth speakers, suction mugs, flash drives, T-shirts, Lagos Historical Puzzle Books, notepads, pens, gift cards, and access to the same cultural visits.

While the third-place winners are: Demola B., Adekola R., Rejoice A., Vincent W., Umar M., Salau V., Asaolu T.A., Fatima I., Dennis K., and Bidemi O., will each take home a tripod stand with ring light, in addition to a tote bag filled with Bluetooth speakers, suction mug, flash drive, T-shirt, Lagos Historical Puzzle Book, notepad, pen, gift cards, and invitations to the LASRAB Gallery and John Randle Centre.

Additionally, 20 consolation prizes were won by: Oyeniyi A., Bukola I., Asogwa D., Jamal M., Monsura I., Tracey L., Haleema A., Kaayode O., Latifah A., Clinton E., Maryam F., Adewunmi A., Abiola A., Fisayo O., Bakare I., Oluwatosin O., Layode L., Arapha A., Adoghe S., and Adebayo A., will get tote bags containing Bluetooth speakers, suction mugs, flash drives, T-shirts, Lagos Historical Puzzle Books, notepads, pens, gift cards, and the opportunity to visit the LASRAB Gallery and John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History.

The successful completion of the first week marked an exciting start to the intellectually stimulating competition. Designed to promote knowledge, learning, and healthy competition, the initiative recorded remarkable participation and outstanding performances from contestants across different categories.

Formal presentation of prizes to winners has been scheduled for December 3, 2025.

To ensure fairness and equal opportunity, weekly winners will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of the competition. This rule is intended to give new participants a fair chance to compete and emerge as winners in upcoming weeks.

The Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition is organised by the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Strategy.
