
The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh Moshood, at the State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja.
During the visit, Chairman Dauda commended the Commissioner for his unwavering efforts in maintaining peace, order, and security across Ikeja and Lagos State. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring a safer, more secure community, pledging that the Council remains ever willing to assist whenever needed.

Comrade Akeem Dauda Receives Award of Excellence for Community Safety and Development
In recognition of his outstanding leadership and consistent collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, CP Olohundare Jimoh Moshood presented an Award of Excellence to Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD).
The award celebrates the Chairman’s remarkable contributions to community safety, grassroots development, and effective local governance, underscoring his proactive approach to peacebuilding and public service delivery within Ikeja Local Government.
The Commissioner of Police described Chairman AKOD as “a dependable partner in progress whose leadership continues to enhance the synergy between the Police and local authorities.”

Also present at the meeting were the Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Abisola Omisore; Council Manager, Mrs. Juliana Odubeko; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Rasheed Adisa Ogunseye alongside other Councillors and senior management staff of the Council.
The visit ended on a cordial and productive note, with both leaders reaffirming their shared commitment to collaboration in advancing the peace, progress, and development of Ikeja and Lagos State at large.
