The son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, has met with a group of prominent young Igbo entrepreneurs in Lagos as part of efforts to advance the Change Nigeria Initiative — a national platform promoting youth participation in politics, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
The strategic meeting, held at The Delborough Lagos, Victoria Island, brought together notable business figures including Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu of Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), Zenco, Hon. Chima Anyaso, among other leading voices in enterprise and philanthropy.

Presiding over the roundtable, Mr. Tinubu and the participants exchanged ideas on strengthening Nigeria’s economic landscape, promoting private-sector collaboration, and empowering young Nigerians to take active roles in national development.
Discussions focused on sustainable economic growth, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, youth empowerment, and the role of ethical leadership in transforming Nigeria’s future.
Obi Cubana, who shared highlights of the engagement on his Instagram page, described it as a gathering of “great minds with shared vision, mission, and goals.”
“An entire day with great minds with shared visions, mission, and goals; united in the same purpose — unity, peace, and prosperity. Welcome to the future,” he wrote.
He further noted that while the methods of driving change may differ, the ultimate objective should be progress rooted in integrity and respect for the rule of law.
“Our expressions and methods of advocating for change may differ, but what truly matters is the outcome we achieve. Whatever you do, let it be guided by a clear conscience and aligned with the rule of law,” Cubana added.

The Change Nigeria Initiative, championed by Seyi Tinubu in recent years, seeks to mobilize Nigeria’s youth toward leadership, innovation, and enterprise — positioning them as key stakeholders in the country’s economic and social transformation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tinubu recently clarified reports linking him to a ₦20 million donation allegedly made to actress Sarah Martins’ Golden Heart Foundation. In a statement released via his Instagram Story, he denied making the donation, explaining that some of his associates, “moved by compassion,” had contributed funds independently to assist a young woman who faced legal issues related to an environmental infraction.
“Their intention, I believe, was to help her secure a proper space to run her business, not to undermine the law. I appreciate their kindness and concern,” he said.
He stressed, however, that his respect for due process remains unwavering.
“While their hearts were in the right place, I do not support any act that violates the laws of Lagos State,” he stated, adding that Lagos thrives on “order and accountability.”
Seyi Tinubu reiterated that true empathy must align with discipline and respect for the rule of law.
“Lagos thrives on order, and Nigeria’s strength depends on our collective respect for both law and order. Empathy and patriotism must always go together,” he affirmed.
His clarification followed social media claims by Ms. Martins, who had earlier announced that she received ₦20 million from Mr. Tinubu to support her foundation and expand her charity outreach.
