Pursuant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, Honourable Olalekan Olu Akindipe, Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, has disbursed 10kg bags of rice and ₦20,000 each to 1,000 widows and aged residents.
This initiative, which occurred on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, reflects the council’s commitment to prioritizing residents’ welfare. Honourable Akindipe noted that “Our administration is committed to making significant strides in infrastructural development, including roads, drainage, streetlights, primary school construction, repairs, and maintenance of existing projects.”
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to implementing initiatives that enhance the community’s standard of living.
He also emphasized the importance of registering and collecting voter’s cards to facilitate participation in the democratic election
The Vice Chairman, Honourable Ajibola Ololade Ugbo-Anite, addressed the gathering, assuring the community of the council’s preparedness to address local government issues.
She urged residents to obtain their voter’s cards and exercise their civic rights during the election.
Notable dignitaries who attended the event included Prince Rabiu Adio Oluwa, Apex Leader of Lagos Badagry Division and member of the Governor’s Advisory Committee (GAC); His Royal Majesty Oba Moruf Oyekunle Atanda Oluwa, The Olu of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom; Honourable Kamaldeen Ayinde Bayewu, former Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun; and Chief Samuel Adeyemi, APC Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government.
Other notable attendees included Honourable Kalejaye Adeboye Paul, member of the Federal House of Representatives; Honourable Sabur Akanbi Oluwa, Lagos State House of Assembly Member; and Alhaji Ismail Sanni, CDC Chairman.
The Council Manager, Mr. Babatunde Ramon, and all management staff, as well as the entire staff of the local government, were also present.
