In January, Tinubu appointed him as the FAAN Board Chair the ceremony, which was held in Abuja on Wednesday, came weeks after Ganduje resigned as the National Chairman of the APC.

According to the APC, Ganduje resigned owing to personal reasons “his resignation, which is effective immediately, was offered to enable him to attend to urgent and important personal matters,” APC spokesman Felix Morka said in a statement.

“In his letter of resignation addressed to the National Working Committee (NWC) through the National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, Ganduje expressed gratitude to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve the party at the highest level.”

The ruling party appointed Ali Dalori as the interim leader of the APC, pending its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to be summoned immediately to fill the vacancy created by the resignation.

Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State from 2015 to 2023, took over the APC chairmanship reins in August 2023.
