N600m, $50,000 fraud trial: Court revokes bail of Agribusiness boss over forged medical report

Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, has revoked the bail earlier granted to Ayodele Toyosi, the promoter of Reaprite Global Limited and Agrorite Limited, over the submission of a forged medical report.

The decision was handed down on Tuesday, July 8, in connection with Toyosi’s ongoing trial for an alleged investment fraud involving N600 million and $50,000.

According to the court, Toyosi attempted to mislead judicial proceedings by presenting false medical documentation, a move that the judge described as a serious abuse of the bail privilege.

The revocation underscores the court’s intolerance for attempts to obstruct justice, particularly in high-profile financial crime cases.

Further proceedings on the matter are expected to continue with Toyosi in custody.
