Aisha Achimugu Arrested By EFCC Operatives At Abuja Airport

Businesswoman and Socialite, Aisha Achimugu, has reportedly been arrested by the Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on arrival from the United Kingdom at about 5am.

Businesswoman and Socialite, Aisha Achimugu, has reportedly been arrested by the Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on arrival from the United Kingdom at about 5am.

Aisha Achimugu was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission a month ago for what the anti graft agency described as Money Laundering and Other offences.

She had filed a fundamental rights enforcement case against the commission shortly after being declared wanted.

Achimugu’s arrest came barely 24 hours after her Lawyer, Kehinde Ogunwumiju, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria informed the Federal High Court in Abuja of her intention to honour the agaency’s invitation slated for today, Tuesday 29th April in Abuja.
