Police hit Lagos baby factory, rescue 10 victims

The Lagos State Police Command  says its operatives have hit a baby factory in the Ijegun area of the state and rescued 10 victims from the place.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin said three suspects were also arrested. Hundeyin, while speaking with journalists on Monday, said the police busted the baby factory following a tip-off on Saturday.

He said  mentioned that those arrested were Mariam Vincent, 35, Orie Ruth, 23, and Ujunwa Ifeanyi, 18.

He said among the rescued victims were  three children.  Some of the adult victims were Precious (24), Magdalene (25), Adaobi (23), Princess (22), Ifeanyi (25), and Amaka (26) while the rescued children were Destiny (7), Miracle (5), and Success (2).

He said rescued victims were getting proper care and support Hundeyin said the suspects had confessed that they actually kidnapped the victims from different places in the state.

He said that they would be charged to court upon the completion of police investigation.
