South West Governors storm Lagos for high-stakes meeting

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will host his fellow South West governors at the Lagos House in Ikeja on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

The meeting, convened by the South West Governors’ Forum, aims to tackle pressing issues affecting the region, including agriculture, food security, economic growth, and security of lives and property.

The governors will discuss strategies to enhance agricultural production, reduce food insecurity, and promote economic growth in the region.

The meeting will also focus on strengthening security measures to protect lives and property in the South West.

The governors will explore opportunities for collaboration and investment to drive economic growth and development in the region.

This meeting is a follow-up to a similar gathering held in Lagos on June 10, 2024, where Governor Sanwo-Olu was unanimously appointed as the Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum.

The forum has been instrumental in promoting regional cooperation and development in the South West.
