A shocking case of alleged child abuse and sodomy has led to the arrest of a Lagos hotelier, Mr Opara Macdonald popularly known as “CEO,” who owns a hotel and suites in the Bucknor area of Ejigbo, Lagos.

Operatives of the Oracle Unit arrested him at the Zone 2 Command, Lagos.

The suspect allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old boy (name withheld), through his anus twice in his duplex located at Egbeda, Akowonjo, Lagos.

According to the police, the victim’s ordeal began when he was lured to the hotelier’s hotel by one Balogun, who is currently at large.

The hotelier then took the boy to his duplex, where the alleged abuse occurred. The victim was warned not to inform anyone of the incident, or he would “run mad.”

The victim eventually summoned the courage to reveal the alleged abuse to his mother, Mrs. Catherine Ndidi Amaka, in December 2024.

His father, Mr. Christian Edozie, rushed back to Lagos on January 5, 2025, to confront his son about the incident and immediately took him to the Isheri Oshun Police Station to report the matter.

Tragically, the victim’s condition deteriorated after reporting the incident, and he allegedly “ran mad.”

His father claims that the Isheri Police were initially unwilling to arrest the hotelier, prompting him to petition the Assistant Inspector General of Police, IGP Adegoke Fayoade, who swiftly directed his men to arrest the suspect.

The hotelier was eventually arrested after he reported himself to the police with his lawyer.

During the investigation, the suspect allegedly admitted to knowing the victim but denied any wrongdoing.

He will be charged to court after the investigation is complete.
