Former Secretary of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a Commissioner in the state Local Government Service Commission, Honourable Hakeem Adisa Bamgbala, has congratulated the newly-elected Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Mojisola Lasbat Meranda on her election to the lead the legislative arm of the state.
Bamgbala, also former Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area of the state, described the new Speaker as a team player who possesses the innate ability to lead and succeed.
According to him, his past interactions and relations with the new Speaker revealed a meticulous, soft-spoken, humble but very focused politician, noting that she is a person who marshall points of argument or discussion in a clear manner without showing any sign of antagonism or aggressiveness.
“She is very meticulous and humble. She has all the qualities to lead and succeed and the fact that her colleagues overwhelmingly voted for her to lead them despite her young age is a testament to her all round qualities.
“She is a person who will always explain her points and facts meticulously in any discussion without showing any sign of aggressiveness and antagonism. And she is also one who will bow to superior arguments when the matter arises. Overall, she is a team player,” Bamgbala said.
While wishing the new Speaker a successful tenure in office, Bamgbala urged her colleagues to rally round her and offer the needed cooperation and support to make her tenure beneficial to all.
