During the engagement, Mr. Olowoshago and members of his team highlighted the benefits of formalising land ownership, including protection against disputes, enhanced property value, and access to government development programmes.

Esv. Wasiu emphasised the state government’s commitment to ensuring residents enjoy the full legal rights of land ownership. “This awareness initiative is designed to empower communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to secure their properties legally. Land regularization is a critical step toward achieving this goal”, he said.

He further stated that the Lands Bureau will extend similar awareness programmes to other communities across the state to ensure inclusive access to land regularization opportunities.

Participants at the interactive session sought clarification on land regularization processes, including documentation requirements and application procedures.

Officials also provided information on how landowners can avoid fraudulent practices while formalising their property titles.

Residents of Akora Villa expressed gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging that it provided much-needed guidance on navigating the complexities of land ownership.
