Lagos Police arrest woman, 2 men for alleged armed robbery

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three persons, including a woman, over alleged armed robbery.

The Police Command in Lagos State has arrested three persons, including a woman, over alleged armed robbery.

The gang attacked some members of the public who then reported to the division about their activities.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Mr Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Thursday in Lagos to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Hundeyin said one of the suspects, identified as Adebayo (aka Jam Lock of Ojo), was arrested on Monday at about 3.00 p.m.

According to Hundeyin, their gang attacked a member of the public, at Atan area of Ogun.

He said the police team at about 7.00 p.m. through intelligence reports, went to Alhaji Shakiru area in Ojo, in search of other members of the gang.

The spokesperson said Alex Amidu (aka SP) and Anthonia Esu, were arrested in the area.

He said that their arrest led to the recovery of one cut to size locally made double barrel gun, one cut to size locally made single barrel gun, one live cartridge and one short cutlass.

Hundeyin said that the suspects and exhibits would be transferred to the Command’s headquarters, Ikeja for further investigation.
