TWO THOUSAND PEOPLE HAVE BENEFITED FROM THE INTERVENTION
The Alhjaji Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE) -led Government of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, embarked on the disbursement of Palliative Cash Gift.
According to a report from the Council’s information unit received by Lagos Panorama, the disbursement commenced during the crucial meeting/ accreditation exercise held at the Ejigbo Mini Stadium, today Wednesday 28th December, 2023.
All the beneficiaries of the cash gift were invited to the event.
Speaking at the event, the Council Chairman explained that the idea of giving cash gift as palliative, is to give the beneficiaries the freedom to use it for their most pressing need.
He also gave his assurance that every one of the beneficiaries, who gave the right information when filling the form, would receive the palliative in the bank account.
Two Thousand people received Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000) each, totalling Forty Million Naira.
The beneficiaries cut across the various Community Development Associations (CDAs), Religious Associations, Youth Council, Indigenous families, Party Members, Council Staff, Market Man and Women, the Physically Challenged, e.t.c.
Before leaving the venue of the event, people had started receiving alerts already on their phones and some of them openly acknowledged and appreciated it on behalf of the others.
The council Boss, Alhaji Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe) is a down-to-earth man who always sees his reflection in others, regardless of class; he feels their pains and is always willing to help, hence the palliative intervention – especially during this season when the poor are already looking out for succor
To further give credence without sentiment, the council Boss in his several advocacies has always emphasized that palliative is strictly meant specifically for the poverty-striking category of society.
