Education District IV holds Ramadan Lecture

The Lagos State Education District IV has held its 18th Annual Ramadan lecture at Lagos City Senior College, Sabo, with the theme: “Territoriality and Hospitality: An Islamic Perspective”.

In his address at the event, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District IV, Mr. Olusegun Olawale Osinaike expressed his happiness to witness such a special event and urged all present to live exemplary lives in this Ramadan period and beyond.

The TG/PS appreciated Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his unflinching support toward the State education sector, just as he emphasised that the Annual Ramadan Lecture is in harmony with the Lagos State Government agenda to promote unity in religion, as all Education Districts and other MDAs must hold the Ramadan Lecture.

The Guest Lecturer and Chief Imam of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullateef Abdulhakeem noted that what Allah requires from his believers includes knowing your creator, embracing and following his command while navigating the challenges of the world.

Miss Ishola Barakat, a student of Ayetoro Senior Grammar School commended the District for organising the programme for the staff and students, adding that she had benefited from the lecture and will continue to abide by all she learnt both in the Month of Ramadan and after.
